BIOGRAPHY

Between two cultures: the journey of a lifetime.

"A bridge of union between India and Spain, building values of respect and diversity."

BIOGRAPHY

From Nasik to Barcelona

I was born near Nasik, on the banks of the Godavari, in India. I lived between Nasik and Bombay for the first six years of my life, forging an identity that would always stay with me.

In 1974, my life took a fundamental turn when I was adopted, becoming another citizen of vibrant Barcelona.

This duality has been the engine of my career and my personal commitment. I graduated in Educational Sciences from Blanquerna University and studied music and piano at the Municipal Conservatory of Barcelona, joining my passion for teaching and art.

CAREER

Crossing Paths

Education and Cooperation

From 1989 to 2001, I worked as a teacher in Barcelona. My interest in cooperation led me to participate as a volunteer in international work camps, collaborating in the organization of solidarity events. I became a benchmark in the field of international adoption, participating in congresses and training for future adoptive parents.

Media Voice

Since the year 2000, I have been a presenter on programs such as AD (Canal 33), Líneas (Vía Digital), Filmets, and the cultural program Continuarà (TVE). I was the spokesperson for the Universal Forum of Cultures 2004, traveling throughout Catalonia as an intermediary between citizens and institutions.

Current Commitment

I have worked for the Barcelona City Council as an advisor in the Department of Women and Civil Rights and as a mediator with immigrant women. Currently, I carry out my work in the Department of Education, focused on the Inclusion section, striving every day to improve our educational environment.

"Through my books, I have been lucky enough to raise awareness among thousands of young people about respect for non-Western values."

SOCIAL IMPACT

The bridge between India and Spain

I became a symbol of union through Casa Àsia, participating in multiple cultural events as a benchmark for multiculturalism. In the media sphere, I have modeled for Intermón Oxfam and have been the image of brands such as Rosa Bisbe, always linking fashion and public presence with the values of diversity.

My constant work in schools and libraries seeks to help today's children better understand the global world we live in.
