Papua New Guinea: sponsoring a child on the other side of the world is wonderful

Thirteen years ago, Asha Miró, together with the Juan Bonal Foundation, traveled to Papua New Guinea. For her, that journey was a breath of fresh air and a moment of inner renewal. She discovered how people live in such remote areas and how only through education and training it is possible to transform and change people’s lives.

She also discovered a wonderful country that seems anchored in the past, yet filled with enviable joy and dignity. She realized that sponsorship is a wonderful way to share the resources of the developed world with others, such as Papua New Guinea, which is still developing.

The hospitality, smiles, and kindness of this country deeply touched Asha’s heart, and for her it was one of the most important journeys of her life. She is grateful to destiny for making it possible.
