Komal and the Colorful Kite is a story about friendship, solidarity, and the importance of collaboration among people, sprinkled with doses of magic in the purest Indian style. Komal is an Indian princess who lives in a palace atop a hill. Her father, the maharaja, forbids her from going out because he fears for her safety. When Komal is little, she feels happy, but as she grows, she longs to discover the world beyond the palace walls. To achieve this, Komal and her friends devise a wonderful plan and discover how people live and what their customs are. The spell of an evil sorcerer brings misfortune to the village, and only through teamwork will the children find a way to restore happiness to the people.
